RIXML.org was formed 20 years ago, when a group of buy-side firms, sell-side firms, and vendors came together to develop an industry standard for describing investment research. Since then, that one standard has grown into the RIXML Standards Suite, which includes the RIXML Research Standard, the RIXML Interactions Standard, the RIXML Coverage Updates Standard, and the RIXML Roster Updates Standard.
Although our standards are open protocols freely available to anyone, member firms have a voice in defining the goals for enhancing our standards and supporting the development of the RIXML Standards Suite. Additionally, member firms meet on a quarterly basis to discuss issues and opportunities regarding the standards and are able to participate in the working groups that are formed to focus on specific initiatives. As technology and regulatory changes occur, our member firms work together to identify ways we can enhance our standards suite to help member firms and the industry adapt.
